I don't know much about these teapots aside from what I could find online. This one in particular the spout is a rooster head. It is small in size. It measures from the spout to the back of the handle 4.25 inches long, 2.5 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide. There are some chinese marks scratched into the bottom of the tea pot. The only part that would translate through google is the word perfume. Radiating from the spout are feather designs that run along each side of the pot. The rooster mouth is open and this teapot could actually function as a teapot.

Previously owned and in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.

A brief history-
Yixing teapots, also known as zisha hu, originated in Yixing in southern Jiangsu Province around 5-6,000 years ago. During the Tang and Ming Dynasties, potters started using purple sand clay to make these unique tea pots, which became popular for brewing wulong, puer, and black teas. The unglazed purple sand clay is rich in minerals like iron and quartz, creating a highly porous surface that enhances the flavor, color, and fragrance of the tea. Zisha ware symbolizes simplistic beauty and has been used for tea brewing since the Song Dynasty.
