Mother of Pearl Woven Spiral with Coral and Jade Beaded Necklace

Tightly woven together in a spiral pattern, Large rice shaped mother of pearl beads and some green and orange agate as well as gold round beads to break up the monotony. It is very pretty. It has a screw together barrel closure.

Mother of pearl jewelry has been around for ages. The iridescence of mother of pearl is beguiling, but more significant is the widely held belief in a link between lustre and rainbows, rain, and water, the essence of life.

The necklace measures from end to end 22 inches and is roughly 1/4 inch wide.
