Vintage 1960s Gave War Nobody Came Patch Yellow with Green Print

This is a patch from the 60's. It is round bright yellow with green text that reads "Suppose they gave a war and nobody came" that wraps around the outside and a green bomb in the center. The phrase is a counter-protest statement, often found on anti-war clothing and posters. It was popularized during the Vietnam War era as a way to highlight the absurdity of a war when no one wants to fight. The statement, while humorous, serves as a strong critique of war and its potential consequences.

All of the young people (even some older people) were protesting the Vietnam War. The 60's were a time of free love and rebellion. When I was a child my mother had a pair of bell bottoms "Party Pants" They were covered with patches. Many of them were offensive and thought provoking. I had a matching pair only mine had kid friendly patches.

This patch measures 3 inches in diameter.

Previously owned and never sewn onto anything. It is unused and it is in really good condition. I think it is a sew on patch as opposed to iron on. I could be wrong. It is well made. Please examine all of the photos and decide for yourself.
