A small porcelain figurine. Depicting a young boy standing in front of a broken wall playing guitar. He has a black top hat, a green jacket and red shoes. He is hand painted. The bottom is stamped Made in Occupied Japan. These are highly collectible as there are many different ones.
Between 1945 and 1952, under MacArthur's command, all factories were instructed to print “Occupied Japan” or “Made in Occupied Japan” on their products. What began as a simple means of identification for U.S. import authorities has become the alpha and omega for a growing number of collectors.
The figurine measures roughly 3 inches tall, 1.75 inches across and 1 inch deep.
Previously owned and in good vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks or signs of repair. Please examine all of the photos and decide for yourself.
