Vintage Tankettes Salt and Pepper Shakers, Promotional Item, In original Box New Unused

A pair of white plastic salt and pepper shakers. The tops are made of a swirly white plastic. I would guess these are from the late 1940's. These were a promotional item that was given away to customers and potential customers. The businesses information is printed on the sides of the shakers, "Knowles Sales & Service Appliances LP Gas Gunnison, Colo." I tried looking up this business to see if I could find anything out about it, if it was still in operation. I could not find it, I did find an advertisement they put in a local newspaper. They are in the shape of a tank. The business sold gas for appliances. I would guess maybe in tanks..They come with their original box, which is quite beat up. The shakers inside are new and unused. A unique piece of history. From a time long gone. A great gift for those that collect salt and pepper shakers.

The shakers themselves measure roughly 3 inches tall and 1 inch in diameter. The box measures 3 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick.

Previously owned. The shakers inside the box are in perfect unused condition. The box has some staining and some tears. It still is holding up in spite of its age.
